Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Report Week Ending October 13
LINCOLN COUNTY – Last week, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 42 traffic stops and five security checks. There were nine calls involving cars hitting deer. There were seven calls for unsafe driving.
On Monday Oct 7, a deputy stopped a vehicle on US Hwy 8 near Woodland Dr for speeding. The 35-year-old driver from Grand Rapids Mi was found to be in possession of Marijuana, and further search revealed more illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia. The suspect was transported to the Lincoln County Jail and booked for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and cited for speeding and operating after revocation.
